Webinar: Women in Clean Energy Innovation
October 2019

Clean energy has become a major growth sector as countries around the world have increasingly looked to transition to low emission energy systems. As of 2017, the renewable energy sector employed 10.3 million individuals worldwide, and the number of jobs in the industry is expected to reach 29 million by 2050.
While the projected growth in the clean energy sector can be a positive catalyst for progress toward low emission development goals, to date, women have not been well-represented in the sector. Join the USAID Resources to Advance LEDS Implementation (RALI) team to learn more about:
- The challenges facing women in innovation and clean tech
- The business and development opportunities for empowering women entrepreneurs and energy professionals
- Actions and resources to reduce gender bias and promote improved gender equity
